The introduction and growth of the home and personal computer created a demand for very small quantities of tractor-fed computer forms. In 1984, the Company again ventured into the business forms sector of the printing industry, with the purchase of specialized state-of-the-art equipment to manufacture short-run, custom designed forms. The plan was to market small quantity orders of continuous forms through a network of distributors and resellers across the Midwest. Within a year, continuous checks were added to the product mix.

The companies, combined under The Safran Group, moved to its present site in suburban Sterling Heights, Michigan in 1987, to accommodate the growth of its forms division, MICROFORMS, Inc., whose wholesale network had grown to include customers selling short run business forms and checks throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

MICROFORMS has prospered for over 25 years due to its tremendous staff and loyal customers. Three acquisitions have contributed to MICROFORMS growth - Peoria, IL. based R.P. Short Run in 2004, Continuous Forms, Inc. of Detroit in 2006, and Hampton Business Forms located in upstate New York in 2008.

Universal Imaging Plus was created in 1993, specifically to meet the growing demand for electronic design solutions by the company’s expanding customer base.
